Day 01: pickup from (N J P) New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok (1,950.mtrs) 125km appx.

The road routes from Bagdogra airport, NJP and Siliguri all meet at Sevoke Road which leads to the National Highway NH31A.

Day 02:Gangtok (1,630.mtrs) to Lachen (2750.mtrs) 123. km, 6-7 hrs. Appx.
This day after breakfast drive from Gangtok to Lachen. It is around 6 to 7 hours. The journey will take you through from various places of interest tourist point such as the Tashi View Point, Phodong Monastery, Kabi Longstok, Mangan and Chungthang. We take lunch at Mangan at an elevation of 1,185 meters. After lunch drive towards to Lachen through from chungthang and Teram-chu river also Lachen is a small town at an elevation of 2,700 meters in North Sikkim. The name Lachen means (big pass.)
The Lachen is one of the popular tourist destination in North Sikkim for Gurudongmar Lake, Green lake trek and Choktha valley such as the tweetable for birds watching this are place quite close to the China border and excellent base for adventure lovers.
The main occupation is agriculture and people mainly produce potatoes, cabbage and green peas during the summer. Here livelihood mainly depends upon agriculture and on tourism, besides herding cattle like Yaks and cows. Lachung remains as the highest inhabited Himalayan village in Sikkim and in winter months of January and February this village regularly receives snowfall. Lachen Village majorly has people from Bhutia community.
Day 03: Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake (5,164.mtrs) Excursion 3 hours. After Lunch Leave to Lachung.
This day early in morning drive towards to Gurudongmar Lake is around 2 hours’ drive from Lachen at an elevation of 4,164 metres. Located near the Indo-China border and amazing quite a peaceful place. the lake and along the trail will offer you many types of birds in north Sikkim like Little Owl, Red-billed Chough, Yellow-billed Chough, Common Raven, Horned Lark, White-throated Dipper, White-winged Redstart, Robin Accentor, White-Rumped, Snow-finch, Black-headed Mountain-Finch and majestic views of snow-capped mountains. the Gurudongmar Lake most sacred lake in Sikkim. Gurudongmar Lake is regarded as one of the most sacred Lake and one of the tourist hotspot places for all the time. Many people come to over here for worship and offering. Gurudongmar Lake is sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus and is believed to be a wish-fulfilling lake.
Note: the altitude may here cause for a breathing problem, take it easy and do not make a physical or mental effort. After Gurudongmar lake back to your hotel, take refreshment and after lunch leave towards from Lachung overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Excursion Lachung (2,750.mtrs) to Yumthang Valley (3,700.meter) Zero point ( 4,650. meter)
Early in the morning after tea get ready towards from Yumthang valley and Zero point which is around 3 hours’ drive from hotel Yumthang Valley known as the valley of flowers in Sikkim. On the way, you will visit rhododendron sanctuary and hot springs some of the major Himalayan birds like Blood Pheasant, Grandala, Brown Parrotbill, Rufous- Fronted Tit, Shaheen falcon, after that back to hotel have a delouse lunch then birding around at Lachung Monastery overnight at hotel at Lachung.
Day 05: Lachung (2750.mtrs) to Gangtok (120. km, 6 to 7 hrs) Appx.
The morning after breakfast depart to Gangtok capital. Ideally should not take more than 6 to 7 hours. And it is advisable to start early since it is a long drive. We suggest packing the luggage in advance before starting on your journey. And Lunch can be enjoyed at Magan Bazer after lunch drive towards to Gangtok Overnight stay at the hotel. In evening free time. Shopping/marketing.
Day 06: Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake (3,760.mtrs) excursion & Baba Mandir (3,970.mtrs).
After breakfast drive to Tsomgo Lake about 44.km from Gangtok and one of the most beautiful landscapes and tourist hot spot in Sikkim. Tsomgo Lake is situated at an elevation of 3,760 meters. Also known as Changu Lake, Tsongmo Lake is regarded as a sacred lake by the local people also many religions, Buddhists, Hindus Jainism. Tsomgo is Bhutia language “Tso Means Lake. And “Mgo” means head. The Tsomgo Lake derives from the melting snow of the mountains and it is a residence for migratory brides and Behrman duck in wintertime the lake is totally frozen and the month of May to August you can get impressive views around the Tsomgo lake cover with Himalayan juniper, Primulas yellow poppies including rhododendron all are bloom in season time. There you can get local shops including yak cheese, trinkets and local curios and fun of enjoying with Yak Ride. With the birdwatching visit Baba Mandir Located between Nathula and Jelepla pass at an altitude of 3,976.mters and about 52kms from Gangtok, Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple is popularly known as Baba Mandir. We suggest packing the luggage in advance before starting on your journey. The distance from NJP/ Bagdogra airport is 125 kilometres which ideally should not take more than 3 to 4 hours.
