Day 01: Bagdogra Airport to Uttarey (1,900.mtrs)163.km.5 to 6hour`s drive.
Trekkers have to report either at NJP Railway Station or at Bagdogra Airport by 8:00 AM. Is a good aide you can arrive easily by 5 pm before it gets dark. Meet our driver then drive to Uttarey through from Melli check post-Jorethang, Richenpong, Dentam and the high bridge in Sikkim and the 2nd high suspension bridge in Asia. Usually, it takes about 6 to 7 hour’s drive from Bagdogra airport to Uttarey. Trekkers can stop at Jorethang for the lunch and make sure to carry sufficient cash while arriving at Uttarey as after Jorethang there are very few options for ATMs. overnight in tents/hotel. Day 02: Uttarey (1,950.mtrs) to Ghaddi Dara (2,112.mtrs) 4 to 5 hours.
This day after breakfast trek to Ghaddi Dara the trail gradually easy through from local Himalayan heritage village from Bhulung, Geetang, and Changay after you will reach to Ghaddi Dara. It takes 5 to 6 hours to reach at Ghaddi Dara the trail along with full of beautiful blooming flowers in the village also Ghaddi Dara is a confluence way of many places cover with rare green Pine forest and nice camping place from there offers you majestic views of mountains The Mount Kangchenjunga surrounding with many peaks.
Day03: Ghaddi Dara (2,112.mtrs) to Upper Rimbi (1,585.mtrs)
The morning after breakfast trek towards from Upper Rimbi. The trail through from inside the dense green forest along with iron water pipe which is the water supply from Pelling and Gayzing. Usually, you will 3 hours maximum along with iron water pipe till to Nayapatal forest from there you will get the route to Upper Rimbi of your camping place. The trail gradually downhills. This day if you’re lucky you will get wild animals because this route is home for the wild animals. Overnight at camp.
Day 04: Upper Rimbi (1,785.mtrs) to Khechoplari (2,226.mtrs) 4 to 5 hours.
This day after breakfast trek to Khechoplari it takes about 4 to 5 hours to walk from Upper Rimbi. The trail is easy ascent till from Mali Dara/Mali monastery There you can take rest for water and enjoy with majestic views of snow-capped mountains. After the trail gradually down hills inside the wild forest through from local village with cardamom fields, Overnight at homestay/ camp.
Day 05: Khechoplari (1,790.mtrs) to Yuksom (1,750.mtrs) 4 to 5 hours.
This day after breakfast you will visit Khechoplari lake and monastery which is the hottest tourist attractions place in west Sikkim of all the time there you will get number to travellers then trek to Yuksom. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to walk from Khechoplari the trail lead you gradually downhills to motorable road from Kanchenjunga waterfalls visit waterfalls take unforgettable photography then trek to Yuksom the trail along with motorable road with over the suspension bridge after is around 100 steeps walk from bridge the trail leads you gradually ascent through from Ramgaythang Lepach Village and Yuksom Senior Secondary School then reach Yuksom Check in hotel/homestay/camp.
Day 06: Yuksom (1,750.mtrs) local excursion.
Dubdi monastery it is the oldest monastery in Sikkim and located on top of the hill from Yuksom at an elevation of 2,000 meters. The Dubdi monastery established in 1701, AD an hour’s walk from Yuksom the trail through front of P H C health centre from Yuksom and front of Limboo Home Stay. The trail gradual uphill. along with trail cover with luge green forest and some of the place you will get water prayer wells and some small stream. The Dubdi monastery known as the Hermit’s Cell after its ascetic founder Lhachen Namkha Jigme, who along with two other lamas from Tibet met at Norbugang near Yuksom and crowned Phuntsog Namgyal as the first King or Chogyal of Sikkim at Norbugang Yuksom in 1642.
HIKING KARTOK LAKE:
Kartok Lake the Holy Lake in west Sikkim at Yuksom close to the Kartok Monastery it is quit peace and beautiful lake and around dense green forest cover with colourful prayer flag with impressive views of the mountain.
also, those people are interesting for mediation and photography surrounding at Yuksom the Kartok Lake is a big huge and quite a peaceful place. Best time for Photography in the sunrise time and in sunset time also every year one time at Yuksom peoples are organizing Kartok Festival for one week.
NORBUGANG CORONATION THRONE:
Coronation throne of Norbugang. Established in 1642 AD. It takes a 15-minute walk from Yuksom bazar Phutsok Namgyal the first chogyal [king] was crowned as the first Chogyal of Sikkim. It is also considered that three holy monks, who came from different directions started their holy Buddhism preaching. You can also see the footprint, printed on the rock of holy Buddhism monk Gyalwa Ngadak Sampa chempo. and close at Narbugang chorten you will visit holy stupa of “Thak-Thong Gyalpo“ is meaning long life god in Buddhism built by H.H Domang Yangthang Rampochee.
HIKING TASHI TENKA:
Tashi Tenka it is about 20 minutes’ walk from the market and opposite from Yuksom senior secondary school. The trail easy with concrete through between of Yuksom school and Buddhism Chorten (STUPA) The royal complex of Tashi Tenka was constructed when the town of Yuksom was still the capital of Sikkim. It is located on a ridge and therefore, offers a full 360-degree view of the entire Yuksom Village you will visit the natural scenic beauty around the spot.
Day 07: Yuksom (1,750.mtrs) to Tashiding (1,460.mtrs) 4 to5 hours.
Tashiding Monastery is the oldest monastery in Sikkim established in 18th Century by Nhadak Sempo Chempo who belonged to the Nyingma-pa Sect of Buddhism as well as Nhadak Sempo Chempo one of the three lamas who performed the consecration ceremony the first king of Sikkim. Tashiding Monastery 22 ½ km from Yuksom by road and 5 to 6 hours by foot. via trek trail through from Dubdi Monastery, Tshong village, Hongri Monastery, Nesha Pokhari Dara and Sinon monastery after Sinon monastery the trail steep downhill through inside the luge green forest some of the place along with local house till to Tashiding Bazar after easy ascend towards from Tashiding monastery cover with colourful prayer flag and holy rock with beautiful script. Overnight at camping/homestay.
Day 8: Tashiding (1,460.mtrs) to Ravangla (2,055.mtrs) 5 to 6 hours.
This day after delicious breakfast trek begin to Ravangla the gradually descends towards Tashiding River people known as (Nhar Khola) and after the river, the trail gradually up hills till from Ravangla as well as on the way, you will visit Bon monastery. It is a famous monastery in Sikkim. The Bon monastery was established in 1980 AD by the late Yung Dung Tsultrim. The Bon monastery is located between Kewzing and Ravangla. After one hour walk from Bon monastery to reach Ravangla. Overnight at camping/ Homestay.
Day 08: Lave Ravangla to Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station (Drive.)
After having breakfast, we depart to NJP or Bagdogra Airport depending upon the trekker’s travel plans. It is advisable to start early since it is a long drive. The distance from NJP/ Bagdogra airport is 155 kilometres which ideally should not take more than 7 to 8 hours. Lunch can be enjoyed at Jorethang or Malli Checkpost. After having lunch, continue your drive to your destination at the N J P/Bagdogra Airport.
