Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Pickup from (N J P) New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok (1,950.mtrs) 125km appx.
The route passes through Teesta bazar and goes all the way to Gangtok via Police Check Post at Rangpo. Foreigners need Inner Line Permit (ILP) to proceed. Our Guide and driver will help you get all the necessary permits here. You could have tea here and then continue drive to Gangtok. Check-in into your hotel.
Day 02: Gangtok (1,630.mtrs) to Lachung (2750.mtrs) 125km, 6-7 hrs. Appx.
After breakfast drive from Gangtok to Lachung which is around 125km and 6 to 7 hours away. The journey will take you past many places of interest like the Tashi View Point, Phodong Monastery, Kabi Longstok, Mangan and Chungthang. Lunch break can be taken at Mangan. Mangan is a small town which is at 1,185m. After lunch, drive towards Lachung via Chungthang.
Lachung
Lachung is a small town at an elevation of 2,700m in North Sikkim. The name Lachung means small pass. Lachung is one of the popular tourist destinations in North Sikkim for Yumthang Valley, Hot springs, Zero point and Lhaba-pass trek. Lachung serves as an excellent base for adventure lovers. The place receive regular snowfall during winter. People mainly practice agriculture. Potatoes, cabbage and green peas are the main crops that grow well in the moderate climate of summer. Cattle rearing is another important occupation. Most people here belong to the Bhutia community and practice Buddhism.
Day 03: Lachung (2750.mtrs) to Yumthang Valley Excursion same day drive to Gangtok (125km, 6 hrs) Appx.
After breakfast get ready to visit Yumthang valley which is around 3 hours away. On the way you will visit rhododendron sanctuary and Hot Springs, then return to hotel. Hereafter, we depart for Gangtok. It is always advisable to start early. After having lunch at Mangan Bazar, continue towards Gangtok. Overnight stay at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy free time to stroll around the city.
Day 04: Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake (3,760.mtrs) excursion & Baba Mandir (3,970.mtrs).
After breakfast on this day, we will visit the Tsomgo lake and the Baba Mandir.

Gangtok. You will have a free evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Gangtok Local Excursion.
After breakfast get ready for local excursion around Gangtok. Do-Drul Chorten Stupa, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Ropeway, Flower Exhibition Centre and Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms (DHH) are the main places of interest that you will cover on this day. Day 06: Gangtok (1,630.mtrs) NJP/ Bagdogra Airport (3 to 4 hrs drive)
After having breakfast, we depart for NJP or Bagdogra Airport depending upon your mode of travel. It is advisable to start well in time. The distance from NJP/ Bagdogra airport is 125 kilometres which ideally should not take more than 3 to 4 hours. Lunch can be enjoyed at Siliguri. After having lunch, continue your drive to your destination at the N J P/Bagdogra Airport. Tour Ends.
