MEALS INFORMATION

Meals information Food Type: Veg food on all days of the trek including the day of arrival and departure. Eggs will also be a part of a few meals. We do not recommend non-veg food on treks since it is difficult to digest and typically in high altitude, number trekkers have minor to moderate digestive difficulties with even veg food. Simple food that can be easily digested and give energy is better in high altitude and hence we do not provide meat on treks. Similarly, at times vegetarian trekkers could object to having their food cooked in the same kitchen of utensils as those used to prepare non-veg for other trekkers. JAIN FOOD can be arranged on request. Trekkers can independently avail of non-veg food in the market before and after trek. Trekking service provider will be responsible for providing simple, tasty and nourishing veg meals on all days mentioned in the itinerary.

Places you recommend to eat on free days: If trekkers wish to eat anything specific on the day before and after the trek, they could do so in the many eateries in the Yuksom Market. A variety of veg and non-veg items are available.

All prices are mentioned for accommodation in a good homestay. The prices for accommodation in a star hotel will be higher as the per night accommodation ranges between 2500-3000.

Note: We do not recommend groups larger than 25 since a larger number can create a safety risk for others in the group and also make it more difficult to manage such situations for accompanying staff. In the mountains, such difficulty could at times mean the difference between life and death.
